McLoughlin Decorating worked with Transport for London to redecorate Victoria Coach Station, which is the largest coach station in London, with space for 76 coaches plus a large booking hall and is a listed Grade II English Heritage site.

This job required our specialist team of ICATs (Industrial Coatings Applicator Training Scheme) painters as we carried out chemical stripping of all existing lead paint, followed by ST3 preparation to all the steel then a 10-year protective coating system was applied to the steel.

Accessing all areas of the station was difficult as the coach station was operational throughout the whole renovation project, however with a variety of MEWPs and a birdcage scaffold we manged to get around this.

As this was a live coach station a traffic management plan was put in place so we could monitor the comings and goings of the coaches with the station staff.
Communication was key throughout this project and as we achieved this, the client was extremely happy with the result.
